Childhood memories

I have a close person that I know has bad childhood memories or trauma. when he was a kid, he was abandoned by his parents and had to work hard to get some food. He became a strong man with great knowledge and grit.

Unfortunately, he can't express his feelings and thoughts. When he had a problem, he always kept it to himself. Year by year, he became a cold person. when his issues piled up, he couldn't use his logical thinking.

because of it, what he did indirectly harmed those closest to him. he is a good man but has problems expressing his feelings.

I believe whether you are a man, you should have the right place to express your feelings. maybe it can be God, friends, spouse, parents, and others that make you feel heard and not feel lonely.

I've found an article that studied about this
Hyu Jung Huh (2014) stated that

"Childhood emotional trauma has more influence on interpersonal problems in adult patients with depression and anxiety disorders than childhood physical trauma. A history of childhood physical abuse is related to dominant interpersonal patterns rather than submissive interpersonal patterns in adulthood. These findings provide preliminary evidence that childhood trauma might substantially contribute to interpersonal problems in adulthood."

Never neglect mental health problem
